He’s the founder of Conscious Brand Agency, where he helps remarkable people and businesses align their message with their mission — and build marketing that actually works.
Dr. J.J. holds a PhD in Communication and is a professor at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management. He’s a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of Marketing Made Simple, and the previous host of two chart-topping podcasts: Marketing Made Simple and Building a StoryBrand.
Before launching Conscious Brand Agency, J.J. served as Head of StoryBrand, where he led global workshops and keynotes that helped business leaders clarify their message and grow with purpose. His experience spans Hollywood film production, global nonprofit communications, and even a stint debating theology at the Sundance Film Festival.
